Nhatharara Project School

The project named Nhatarara School, focuses on the construction of a new primary school for the Catandica community. There are a community and a group of teachers who are willing to contribute to the project with brick construction and good will.
The existing Nhamatema primary school is located 100m from the main national road Nº7, on the way to Catandica. Catandica is approximately 80km from the Zimbabwean border.

Project

Scope: Approx. 448 children with ages ranging from 6 up to 17, currently learning in two wooden huts with teachers that do not have access to books and educational materials.
The children sit on wooden logs and don´t have tables, chairs or writing implements.

Why support it?

Companhia do Vanduzi SA, has taken on the project of building a School for the children.
The local community is fully committed to building the school and have started producing bricks made up with local materials, having a total of 25.000 bricks already burnt.
The school´s foundations have begun to be excavated and soon the main structure shall be built
The objective is to have the school built by 1st January, before the new school year is due to start (15th January).

Project requirements

Requirements:
Building materials; paints, cement etc..
Educational materials for children and teachers; black boards, books, stationary, radio with tape, folders etc.
Clothing for the children; Furniture; tables, desks for the children and for the teachers; Monetary support;

Recognition to partners

In recognition to partners, there shall be a plaque that will be located on the wall of the school, with all the names of the partners of this project;
On the internet site www.mocfer.com in the social responsibility tab, there shall be a list of all partners and also of all items donated.
There will also be some media coverage on this project and once again all partners shall be highlighted.
