Vanduzi Corporate Social Responsibility Project





The school is close to completion. Painting is under way and doors and windows are being installed. The contrast between the old school and new school doesn’t leave anyone indifferent. In no time, school tables and chairs will be in the classrooms and children will be happily using the space they so much crave for. Inauguration day is just round the corner, programmed for the 15th April at 9am.

A few weeks later the school begins to take shape. The iron windows have already been put in place and the builders are now beginning to assemble the roof.

The rains have delayed the completion of the project, but the recent dry spell has allowed the builders to start working on the roof, with the target of completing the roof in two weeks time.

Once the roof has been completed, then the final indoor touches can be carried out painting can take place.

Both children and school teachers are anxious to see the project completed and to be able to go into their so wanted school.

We have been very fortunate as many private companies and individuals have been supporting this project, not only with time and work, but also with educational books and materials. We still have a long way to go in order to totally cover the schooling needs of these 448 children, but we are committed to try and bring in all the support that we can find. All help is very welcome.
